Hi there, It’s been a little while since I’ve shared a layout over here, school holidays and a bit of illness hanging around had stolen a lot of my creative energy and time. But I’m back and have an entry … Continue reading
This weekend I was lucky enough to attend a local Scrapbooking day put on by a lovely group of ladies to raise money for our local hospital.
It was a great day full of scrapping, chatting, raffles and shopping! We had scrap shops visit us from all over, and even had a stall with Zoe of Cocoa Vanilla!
The day managed to raise over $2000!! Well done to the ladies that organised the day!
I did manage to squeeze in some scrapping on the day and got two layouts completed. I worked on Jot’s April challenge, and had it judged as ‘best layout of the day’ by Leanne MacDonald, Scrapbooking Memories Master! How awesome! And I won a Scrapbooking Memories 12 month subscription! Yay me!!
So here are my layouts…
This one is for Jot this month.
The other big bonus of the day was that I got to meet some local scrappy friends and now have places and people to scrap with! Yay!!
Hope you all have a great week! School holidays here, so plenty of crafty time ahead!!
Hello to another new month!!
Today I’m here to share with some exciting stuff… I’m guest designer over at Kraft +. I was stoked to be asked, because without fail the Kraft + challenges are super fun!
This month the inspiration board is Black + White! Awesome!
I love playing with black and white, so loved this inspo board. The stacked pictures inspired me to stack and layer the patterned paper horizontally. And I loved the little tag with the script ‘love’ on it, so used that in my title. And the circles are kinda drawn from the round plates.
Make sure you stop by and check out the DT layouts over at the Kraft+ blog. And while you’re at it, make sure you have a go at the inspiration board!
I’m back again today to share another challenge layout. This time I’m giving a new one a go, having a play over at Scrapbooking Top 50 for their March challenge – Sweet.
The inspiration board was super cute, and there were so many lovely layouts popping up all over my feeds, I just had to give it a go.
So here’s my interpretation…
I drew the inspiration for the background from some paper I had seen floating around, with wood grain fading into pink, and had a go at creating it myself. I very lightly gessoed the bottom half of the page, and then painted over it with some Pink Hiedi Shine. I think it looks so pretty!
Thanks for stopping by!
This week I had a bit more of a play with my texture paste and my Flutterby Designs love heart stencil. Inspired by a layout from Anita Rodway from Flutterby Designs, I mixed up some colours to run across the stencil to create a really vibrant background. I love how it turned out!
The colours inspired a fun and playful layout. I dug deep into my stash for some embellies and ended up with butterflies, not my usual thing, but I think they add to the fun!
Back again to share another layout for March! This time I’m having a go at the March inspiration board over at the D-lish Scraps Blog called “Sunny Daze”. I loved the colour combo in this board and had a certain … Continue reading
How excited am I to be back playing with Jot’s March Mood Board!! Especially because my layout was chosen as the WINNER for Feb’s challenge!! I’m so super pleased, and my prize is an an awesome hand scripted canvas from Jodie York! Make sure you stop by and check out her stuff!!
So here is the inspo on the March Mood board was put together by Mardi Winen, and I loved it as soon as I saw it!!
I’m loving this page for a few reasons… I’ve been wanting to do a triangle piece like this for ages, particularly with the Crate Paper Notes and Things paper that I had in my stash, it was so fun to piece all the triangles together! I’m also super pleased to have used up and older pic of my eldest (she’s 10 now!). Plus I love the feathers, and the fact that I journaled!!
Super happy Tam xx

Where did January and February go??? I’m really not happy about the year passing by so quickly, but at least a new month means a new crop of challenges!
So, here I am, back again to share the first of my March challenge layouts! Playing along at Kraft+ blog with their ‘A hint of hound’ challenge.
I really thought I was going to have no chance of completing a layout for this challenge, I’m really not a fan of Houndstooth and didn’t expect to find any in my stash! But lo and behold, I had 3 different papers! One of which was a very old Stampin’ up paper I have been hanging on to for yonks! Felt good to use that up!
The other element of the challenge was to work with the sketch. I loved working with this! It’s been a while since I’ve done a sketch challenge, it’s kind of nice to have the page mapped out for you!
So here it is! Love the busy, grungy page I was able to come up with. Feels like I punked up boring old houndstooth a bit!
Two posts in one day, that’s unheard of! Guess that’s the perks of a rainy miserable weekend and Netflix, lots of Netflix!
This layout is my entry into the More than Words February challenge. The prompts were wonderful + sparkle.
These photos were taken last week at my hubby’s grandmothers funeral. My girls loving called her GG, and she will be missed greatly, but at 96 she had lived a full and happy life. Her funeral & wake became about celebrating this and enjoying time with our extended family, which resulted in a big photo shoot! I love these pics, and have added some journaling about this behind the pics.
Big Loves, Tam x
I have to say that this months Jot Mood Board got me really excited!! Now don’t get me wrong, I love pastel mint and pink as much as the next girl, but I’m a bit over it. It’s been everywhere, all over everything, for a good while now, so that made this mood board a breath of fresh air! The deep purples, pinks and jades really made me go wow!!
Then came the tricky part! I NEVER scrap with purple, it’s just not my colour, so I really had to dig in my stash to find bits that would work. Thank goodness for my unnatural habit of stashing Heidi Swapp goodies for eons, because this was nearly the only purple I had! Combined with some more recent Shimelle, and Crate paper, I managed to pull together a layout I am super happy with!!
My eldest daughter is super embarrassed that I scrapped this pic, she thinks she looks like a ‘dork’. But I think it’s important to remember those awkward times with new glasses, wobbly teeth and not so great haircuts! I think she’s pretty cool regardless!!
Till next time,
Big loves, Tam x
